Can you add resources without overhead?

The challenge for many companies and non profit organizations is the need for experienced resources. However, their inability to increase overhead will hold back their ability to gain access to that expertise. The conventional meaning of overhead is cost that does not directly contribute to the bottom line of an organization. The meaning of resource is productive factor to undertake an enterprise to achieve a desired outcome. How can an organization achieve one without increasing the other?

Consider looking at all the elements of your organization – an organizational audit. Evaluate the skill set within the team against the imperative service delivery needs of the organization. Consider your personnel and their skills and review the individual product/service items that you deliver each year. Evaluate if you are using your team to gain the best results for the organization. Should you change the way the team are used?
